Bubba, Magoo and I spent the afternoon walking around town. My goal was to get in 10,000 steps today. I woke up a little past 6am and walked about a mile and a half around the neighborhood. Then after lunch, the kids and I went for a walk (the long way!) to the library. We then took a stroll through town. Ellie gets very excited when we walk past her school. It's so cute! As of 4pm I walked over 4.5 miles and 12,000 steps!! Woo hoo!! I still have 10 pounds to go to get to my pre baby weight. The last 10 pounds are always the hardest!
Charlie ate his first entire jar of Stage 1 sweet potatoes today. He was freaking out over them. It was so cute!! He tries to hold his bottle, but pulls it out of his mouth. Ellie never held a bottle so it's exciting to see him try. Nice to know with kid #2 we can still experience some firsts!!

As much as I love the warmer weather (though I could stand for it to be a tad bit cooler than 88, but feel bad complaining because I feel like I was just complaining about it being too damn cold) I HATE the bugs that come along with it. Chris killed a hornet in our bedroom the other day. Wonder why I haven't been sleeping well at night? And just now I killed a bee that was hanging out on the carpet in Ellie's bathroom... WTF! I hate bugs!!! All I could picture was her stepping on it and being allergic. That would be fun considering today I am without a car! So, I put on some shoes and decided to take care of it myself like a big girl. Normally, I would just close the door and put a towel under it to prevent its escape and wait for Chris to get home, but since it was on the floor I figured it would be easy enough to deal with. I am still feeling things crawling all over me. It's just gross. I've checked on Charlie a million times too because he's napping in the next room.
I'm probably going to make a trip up to MA now the last weekend in May because my sister had to cancel her trip for the weekend before. It'll probably just be a slightly extended weekend since Chris will be here by himself in Jersey. He can't take any time off until the end of June so it will just be me and the kids.
Ohh and check out my year to date savings of $540.38... that flat screen TV has almost paid for itself (yeah right!).

And this is what it cost me: $53.10
I thought this was a pretty succesful trip. The receipt shows that I saved $51.60, but at ShopRite certain items ring up automatically on sale, so I could just walk in and pay that sale price no coupons and no store card. It aggravates me that they don't list that on the receipt because it would have showed a higher percentage of savings. Oh well 50% will have to do I guess!!
